Barking Bird Frams was founded in 2014, in Winnemucca NV. Owned by Gabriel and Tasha Mesina. Gabriel is a full time Fire Captian with the Nevada Division of Forestry. Tasha Works the farm as well as raising Belgian Malinois under the kennel Element Belgians.
People frequently ask where our farm name comes from. When we first got started, we had exotic chickens and dogs, so Barking Bird seemed appropriate. Boom! It has stuck and we love it.
We added a couple goats Charlotte and #5. (so Named because she has a big white 5 marking on her side) . 5 was just a baby, when I weaned her, I started milking Charlotte and was instantly enthralled with all the things I could make with Milk. Cheese, yougurt , keifer, sour cream, ect. After a while I thought it would be fun to try soap. After making a couple batches, I gave some to friends, and I had a friend say, “I would pay for that!” 19 goats later, here we are! We run a mixed herd of Nigerian Dwarfs and a Lamancha and 4 nubians.
From the soap, an entire line of products has been born, with a constant focus on delivering high-quality, luxurious, natural products for your body. We’re driven by a rigorous commitment to providing the best possible experience for our customers – by avoiding the unnecessary, harmful chemicals instead promoting the healing essential oils and herbs that are natural.
Along with our goats, we run Califorina red sheep, a few random cows and kune kune pigs. Along with our malinois that help herd the goats and sheep, our Livestock Guardian Dog, and couple mixy mutts, its a happy family!
